Two Types Of Indonesian Girls

Indonesian girls are known for their sweet looks. On the streets, you’ll generally see two types:
Local features: round face, big eyes, fleshy nose and lips, soft facial contours – approachable and even sweeter when smiling.
More Western-influenced features: higher brow bones, large deep-set eyes, high nose bridge, and sharp, clean facial lines.
Makeup Preferences
They put special emphasis on eye makeup, especially women over 25. Think thick, dense lashes, bold brows, and – regardless of age – a strong preference for pink lipsticks. Bright red is rarely their choice.
Body Type and Footwear
Most are petite, with a mix of slim and curvy builds. Since many are Muslim, comfort is key, so flats and sneakers are go-to footwear.

Everyday Outfits
Common street styles include:
Long-sleeved T-shirts paired with jeans – colors are muted, fabrics crisp, giving a neat and energetic look.
Long sleeves with long skirts, often topped with an outer layer or jacket.
In local shops, the most common items are shirts, trousers, long skirts, and colorful headscarves. Skirt colors tend to be subdued – black, blue, gray – while white and black are seen as pure, making them popular for formal events and prayers.
Seasonal and Regional Differences
Less observant Muslim girls may wear short sleeves and short skirts in summer, but due to strong sunlight, long pants and long skirts are more common overall.

In big malls, international brands like Zara, H&M, and Uniqlo offer plenty of shorts and miniskirts. But in smaller town malls, such items are hard to find – they’re basically nonexistent.
School Uniforms

Female students wear uniforms: shirt with long skirt, color-coded by grade – red-white for elementary, blue-white for junior high, gray-white for senior high.
Professional Attire
Urban working women usually have company-issued uniforms – shirts with long skirts or trousers, paired with heels and proper makeup. Some wear traditional Muslim attire, but with a sharper, cleaner cut.
